The Conejo Valley Meal Program
He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his
bread to the poor. Proverbs 22:9
“Many hands make light work,” as the saying goes and the Shelter
Meal Program is a perfect example of this belief put into action.
Every month, volunteers from MVPC come together to provide a delicious,
nourishing meal for our community's less fortunate. We must be
prepared with enough food for at least 40 men, women and children, and
with thanks to all our wonderful volunteers, this is easily
accomplished!
For those of you who may not have heard the news yet, there have been
some changes; our host church has changed from the Seventh Day
Adventist church to Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, which is
located at 588 Camino Manzanas. Please be sure to note this
new location if you participate in this program.
If you are not a regular participant . . . now is a perfect time
to get involved! This is one of the easiest ways to serve that we
have at MVPC. All you need to do is either prepare a dish or pick
something up at the store and drop it off at the host church (or send it
with another MVPC member). It's that simple!
We serve the homeless and needy on the first Thursday of every month
but if you're not ready for a once a month commitment, that's OK; we'll be
happy to accept your help any month that's convenient for you. (I
promise there will be no harassing if you skip a month here and there.)
For more information on how you can become involved, please call:
